Welcome to ThE ArT class Online, an ongoing creative-instruction class led by Janine Claudia Nizza. Based in Rome, Italy, but serving the world, ThE ArT class Online is an opportunity for artists and artists-to-be to explore their own personal process of creativity and to take dive deep into their own psyche.
Born out of the global lockdown and the desire to continue to help students reach their artistic potential, Janine Claudia Nizza decided to take her in-person atelier to an online platform. Partnering with the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization’s Cooperative, Janine is now able to bring her class to not only the creatively curious in Rome, but to anywhere in the world.

Italian: Janine Claudia Nizza propone due murales sul tema della libertà di stampa e di espressione descritta nell’articolo 21:”Tutti hanno il diritto di manifestare il proprio pensiero con la parola, lo scritto e ogni altro mezzo di diffusione.” Il primo murales è un tributo al Rinascimento di cui è grande interprete il pittore Sandro Botticelli: “…il rinnovamento operato dagli studia humanitatis si esprime nel nuovo concetto di cittadino dei secoli… come essere politico che deve occuparsi della res publica..” Il secondo è dedicato ai bimbi in forma “divertissement” con celebri citazioni che fuoriescono dai tubetti di colore con i nomi degli illustri filosofi e intellettuali rappresentando i molti punti di vista fondati sulla democrazia e la libertà come descritto da Piero Gobetti :”la libertà non si eredita. Si conquista ogni giorno. E ogni giorno può essere perduta”.
English: Janine Claudia Nizza proposes two murals on the theme of freedom of the press and expression as described in Article 21: “Everyone has the right to express their thoughts through speech, writing, and any other means of dissemination.” The first mural is a tribute to the Renaissance, masterfully interpreted by the painter Sandro Botticelli: “…the renewal brought about by the studia humanitatis is expressed in the new concept of the citizen of the centuries… as a political being who must concern themselves with the res publica…” The second is dedicated to children in the form of a “divertissement” with famous quotations flowing out of paint tubes bearing the names of illustrious philosophers and intellectuals, representing the many points of view founded on democracy and freedom as described by Piero Gobetti: “freedom is not inherited. It is conquered every day. And it can be lost every day.”

Segni su carta, segni su tela, azioni segniche e segni nello spazio di uno schermo, per disegnare con la luce, colori e tratti che appaiono e spariscono con la persistenza dell’assenza o del nulla: è quanto la galleria SpazioCupra propone in questo finissage, sabato 22 novembre 2025 alle ore 17,30, attraverso due video: Non esiste di Janine Claudia Nizza e Asintotica di Vittorio Pavoncello. Lo SpazioCupra si allarga così alla dimensione della profondità della luce e alla completezza sinestetica delle emozioni.
Poco prima del terribile crollo delle torri gemelle scrissi questo testo mentre contemplavo il movimento dalle onde sulla spiaggia della Corsica e dissi a Billy Mernit che ne avrei voluto fare un piccolo video.
Il corto NON ESISTE è stato realizzato a Santa Monica dove vivevo e parla della bellezza e della vacuità del segno.
